About Us

Hi there, I’m Nick Lekas, the CEO of Your Neighbor Insurance Services, Inc. I have been a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent/broker for 35 years. My company’s goal is to get to know you, listen to your needs and wants, and then steer you in the right direction and provide quality insurance at an affordable price, for Commercial and Personal policies.

Insurance can be a confusing subject, I didn’t know anything about it until I started selling it myself, and I work hard to explain what you need and are getting in simple terms anyone can understand. I hate when insurance agents tell their clients a bunch of insurance terms that only an insurance professional really understands, so I explain what they mean in laymen’s terms.

Before I joined YNIS, I was a top selling agent at Survival Insurance Brokerage, (winning the “Top Gun” award for best agent nine times), and a sales manager.  My offices were ranked either first, second or third in the company the entire time I was a manager.

Outside of work my passions are my family and basketball. I played at Sonoma State University and ended my time there as a captain of the team. I still play in rec leagues to this day. I was also on the Executive Board of the Sonoma State student government and the student union.
